Women’s yoga retreat July 27th, 9:30am-12pm $45 Mindfulness is an integral part of a full yoga practice. Yes, sometimes it’s done sitting, but we can also practice presence while we move through our Asana. In fact, our time on the mat gives us many ways to access that kind, present awareness we call mindfulness. In our morning yoga practice we’ll explore those gateways as well as the many gifts the simple (and sometimes challenging) act of being here now can bring us.
This morning women’s retreat is a perfect opportunity to connect, release and re-fill. In the height of Summer we’ll look at yogic practices for helping us keep cool, calm and collected. Our time together will include:
A relaxed schedule, with an invitation to do what you need most.
A group circle to set sacred space, witness each other and frame our work for the morning.
An all levels yoga practice in the beautiful setting of The Trees.
An invitation to stay after and walk the paths or labyrinth if you have time.
This is a wonderful opportunity for those who have come to a retreat before to re-connect and reflect. It is also a fantastic way to get a feeling for these women’s retreats in a more bite-sized offering.
It became apparent in the first five minutes that Olynda was the real thing.
I first met Olynda as a surprise sub for my regular Sunday morning class. Subbing for a group that’s been together for a long time (like 8 years) can be daunting, but it became apparent in the first five minutes that Olynda was the real thing. She subsequently went on to lead our office yoga program for more than two years, and saw our group through the darkest days of the recession. Throughout, she built a genuine rapport with a very diverse and idiosyncratic group of practitioners and was extremely flexible around scheduling and payment. Hawaii’s gain is New York’s loss!
